Hi gang! Ironically, the "skip" week (last week) -- When the comics publishers didn't release any new product -- actually was my best week of the past year! It was a great close to 2009, and a promising beginning to 2010. I want to thank all of you who have patronized Comics Unlimited of Evansville, Indiana since the shop first opened on 1996! I truly appreciate your continued business! One thing that surely helped boost sales for last week, and indeed for the past month and more is the BIG BIG SALE that continues at CU! That's the sale where EVERYTHING but new comics, special orders, and supplies are HALF-OFF the regular price! This great sale will end on January 15, 2010, so you still have time to stock up on comics, toys, posters, and more, but hurry before it ends so as to not be left out! Hi gang! The 50% OFF sale is being extended until December 7, 2008! It's been a great success so far, and I have placed an ad in the American Classifieds paper that runs for two weeks so I am extending the sale to make the most of that ad. As a reminder, this sale is on EVERYTHING but new comics and supplies! Trade paperbacks, toys, cards, magazines, are all on sale at half-price! I just added some more back issues to the bins, as well! HOLIDAY WEEK NEW COMICS SCHEDULE: New comics WILL arrive on Wednesday, November 26, and on Wednesday, December 24 as a normal week, BUT the week following Thanksgiving and Christmas the new comics will arrive a day later than normal, on Thursday. The shop will be closed on Thursday, November 27 for Thanksgiving, and closed on Thursday, December 25, for Christmas. The shop will be open from 9 to 3 on Christmas Eve (Wednesday, December 24).
