Comics Unlimited News and Info

Hi gang! Ironically, the "skip" week (last week) -- When the comics publishers didn't release any new product -- actually was my best week of the past year! It was a great close to 2009, and a promising beginning to 2010. I want to thank all of you who have patronized Comics Unlimited of Evansville, Indiana since the shop first opened on 1996! I truly appreciate your continued business! One thing that surely helped boost sales for last week, and indeed for the past month and more is the BIG BIG SALE that continues at CU! That's the sale where EVERYTHING but new comics, special orders, and supplies are HALF-OFF the regular price! This great sale will end on January 15, 2010, so you still have time to stock up on comics, toys, posters, and more, but hurry before it ends so as to not be left out! Thank you and here's to a happy and prosperous 2010! Yayy!!! -- Matt Matthew Hawes COMICS UNLIMITED 654-B E. Diamond Avenue Evansville, Indiana 47711

Hi gang! The latest episode is online on YouTube (and embedded elsewhere)! The online upload is saying it is only about 26 minutes long, but the full show is actually 29 minutes long. As I write this, it is still processing, so maybe that will get worked out. I checked my file and it plays the right length. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the show! SEASON 6, EPISODE 21, SEPTEMBER 2009 Matt & Happy celebrate Nacho Chip Day! Plus... BARNES & BARNES "Love Tap" music video! Very many thanks goes out to Artie Barnes (AKA, Robert Haimer) for giving permission to "The Happy Show" to feature the Barnes & Barnes music videos on the program! Look for more to come in future episodes, and buy the latest B&B CD "Opbopachop" at: Check out Artie's YouTube channel at: Justin Patton and Aaron Stutsman parody the Caped Crusader again in "The Misadventures of Batman"! Also: The Punkers, Crazy Cat Pete and more crazy fun! Yayy!!! Matthew Hawes

Okay, just for fun I am holding an informal gathering of people from YouTube at my shop, COMICS UNLIMITED, on saturday, March 24, 2007. I don't really know if anyone would actually respond and come to Evansville unless they were already from the area (and probably not even then), but I figure "What the hey?" MATT HAWES'S INFORMAL YOUTUBE GATHERING ! When: Saturday, March 24, 2007 from 12 noon to 7 o'clock P.M. Where: COMICS UNLIMITED 654-B Diamond Avenue Evansville, Indiana 47711 www.ComicsUnlimited.biz So, if you are from YouTube (and even if you aren't), stop on in and say "hi!" And, if you want to peruse the shop and buy from me, I won't complain! :-) Matthew Hawes
