X-Men Co-Creator, DaveCockrum, Passes Away.

I learned the sad news this afternoon that Dave Cockrum, who created Nightcrawler, Storm, and Colossus, and helped to make the Uncanny X-Men Marvel's biggest selling comic book series of all time, has passed away. He had been ill for some time.

I met Dave Cockrum personally, and he seemed to be a genuinely kind, warm, down-to-Earth man. He was one of the finest artists to have ever worked for Marvel and DC comics. He also designed and created many characters for DC's "Legion of Super-Heroes."

He will be missed.
